Rotterdam uses Profource Trading Cloud
The City of Rotterdam has started to use the Profource Trading Cloud to automatically process e-invoices since April this year. This makes Rotterdam one of the first Dutch municipalities in the Netherlands to use e-invoicing. Rotterdam is now moving forward in the automation of its administrative processes by involving more suppliers into the process of e-invoicing.

The suppliers of Rotterdam send their electronic bills to Profource, we process them and feed them back into the Oracle administration. Profource also provides additional controls so that the bills can be paid as quickly as possible.
An e-invoice is not the same as a PDF invoice or a scanned paper invoice. The process of e-invoicing is a completely automated and electronical proces: an e-invoice is sent to the Profource Trading Cloud, received, checked, fed back into the administration of the customer, and paid out. When an e-invoice is consistent with the data of the order known in Oracle (like order number, purchasing date, amount, delivery and price), an e-invoice can be paid out within a few days after delivery. e-Invoicing is therefore a very effective and efficient way of handling invoices.
Rotterdam started the e-Invoicing project in November last year. In this project Profource collaborates with the service centers Finance, Procurement and I & A of the municipality of Rotterdam, and with supplier Deli XL and service provider InvoiceSharing.
